You will serve as an EDUCATION TECHNICIAN in the Training and Education Directorate (N7) of Commander,Navy Reserve Forces Command (CNRFC) of COMNAVRESFORCOM.
Duties
You will receive and respond to requests for course information.
You will be responsible for booking, denying, confirming, reassigning, and assisting with canceling quota requests through the Enterprise Navy Training Reservation System (ENTRS).
You will coordinate with training activities for wait listed students, substitutes, and cancelling reservations in support of RESFOR and SELRES Sailors.
You will determine the eligibility of prospective SELRES students based on course parameters, prerequisites, class capacities, and training applicability.
You will provide customer service to RESFOR personnel, Training Officers, and SELRES Sailors to help them obtain quotas.
You will receive, verify, input and correct SELRES student information and status of students; to include student name, rank/grade, Social Security Number or DoD ID number, Unit Identification Code (UIC), and Service Component for each student.
You will notify quota requesting activities of changes in course requirements, changes in class convening data, or cancellation of classes.
You will coordinate with active-duty or SELRES Enlisted Community Managers (ECM), schoolhouses, or detailers to obtain additional training quotas to meet SELRES annual requirements and development of associated data, tracking and metrics.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station.
- This position is subject to work an uncommon tour, including nights, weekends, and holidays to meet mission requirements. Overtime or night differential pay and/or unusual duty hours may be required.
- This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
Qualifications
GS-07 Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
Experience booking, denying, confirming, reassigning and assisting with canceling quota requests through the Enterprise Navy Training Reservation System (ENTRS), a web-based computer reservation system, by means of email, telephone, fax, NROWS orders.
Experience electronically reserving all required RRL training quotas for SELRES RRL students.
Experience updating Quota Controls course listings with new and detailed information concerning the implementation and application of new courses or sun downed courses, updated training paths, and course pre-requisites and requirements.
Experience communicating effectively orally and in writing with managers, contractors, and employees at all levels, to negotiate changes, resolve differences and problems.
Experience with Navy enlisted rating occupational standards and associate RRL career paths available within Navy Reserve specific rating.
Experience with SELRES recruitment programs; to include Prior Service Re-Enlistment Eligibility Reserve (PRISE-R), Career Waypoints (C-WAY), and New Accession Training (NAT).
Experience analyzing and solving complex problems and developing proposals for resolution.
Experience providing advice and assistance to management in search of sound solutions to problems in support of staffing needs and organizations serviced.
