You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECAILSIT (MILITARY) in the MANPOWER MANAGEMENT DIVISION, MANPOWER AND RESERVE AFFAIRS DEPARTMENT of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will plan, coordinate, implement, evaluate and manage the process of annual active and active reserve component officer and enlisted separations, retirements, and transfers, ensuring adherence to laws, regulations, and Marine Corps policies.
You will meticulously verify that Class I and Class II certifiers have validated statements of service for all officer and enlisted Marines, guaranteeing that applicable creditable service is accounted for and in compliance with laws and regulations.
You will address customer concerns within the section, implementing innovative problem-solving strategies to swiftly resolve identified issues and provide timely and accurate information to all Marine Corps organizations.
You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Section Head and Branch Head, providing sound guidance on technical matters related to Marine Corps military personnel systems affecting the Separation and Retirement Section.
You will conduct analyses and reviews of system issues impacting workflow processes, evaluate their implications and propose data-driven, actionable recommendations for corrective measures to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.
Requirements

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: performing military personnel and administrative processing of active and reserve component separations, retirements, and continuation of eligibility, while ensuring compliance with governing policies, regulations, and laws using various automated systems.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
GS-11:
Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree
or
3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
or
LL.M., if related
