You will serve as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist in the Administrative and Resources Management Division (AR) of HQ US MARINE CORPS.
Duties
You will provide USMC managers with definitive interpretations of USMC's Recruitment/Placement and Classification programs.
You will provide expertise in the area of position classification, recruitment and placement, pay and
compensation, overseas entitlements, and strategic workforce planning.
You will advise on issues that are highly controversial, precedent setting, or crosses several areas of human resources policy
You will oversee administrative operations for the HROM Quantico staffing and classification teams. Represents HROM management when dealing with Facilities/Base Commander to ensure health and safety of assigned personnel.
You will analyze issues related to the establishment of program goals and objectives for areas supervised.
You will provide recommendations on the development of program implementation, operation, and evaluation
strategies/methodologies.
You will be responsible for providing technical and administrative oversight to five geographically dispersed HR operational teams (staffing and classification).
You will engage with customers to proactively assist with staffing and classification needs; with MandRA when policy questions arise; with DoN OCHR to ensure timely completion of personnel actions
You will represent the HRO director as one of the senior representatives on site.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Directing the delivery of civilian federal human resources (HR) services related to recruitment and placement, or classification management, to ensure compliance with governing laws and regulations and to provide guidance on strategic planning and forecasting for a future workforce.
