You will serve as a FINANCIAL MANAGEMENT ANALYST in the AC/S Financial Management & Comptroller (G-8) Department of MCRD ERR PI SC.

Duties

You will begin all responsibility statements with 'You will'; each field should have no more than one sentence; list the responsibilities in a logical order; and avoid You will manage Reimbursable Work Orders. You will monitor unfilled customer order funds. You will maintain supporting documents to confirm proper charges and validate customer billings. You will distribute funds, monitor costs, and prepare reports. You will validate financial reports and monitor for abnormal conditions.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This is a Financial Management Level I certified position per the National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) 2012, Section 1599d. You must achieve this level within prescribed timelines. Certification requirements are in DoD Instruction 1300.26
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical expertise in accounting and budget matters, preparing or evaluating financial reports and statements, reporting on obligations and expenditures and performing other financial administrative processes. Education

In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
  • Master's or equivalent graduate degree
  • OR
  • 2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
  • OR
  • LL.B. or J.D., if related
Such education must demonstrate the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work.
