You will serve as a LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST in the CUSTOMER ADVOCACY OFFICE of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA.

Duties

You will identify and document customer requirements and oversee the development and delivery of those products and services to customers. You will oversee the identification, analysis, and determination of logistics data trends and anomalies, and the development of recommendations to improve the logistics policies and processes that support fleet readiness. You will serve as a NSLC Deputy Customer Advocate for assigned ship classes and/or systems, and work closely with the responsible NSLC Project Manager, Division Director, and Program Executive Offices. You will coordinate the identification of customer requirements, the cost and schedule of the products and services designed to meet those requirements and the delivery of those products and services. You will assess the impact of preceding acquisition phase decisions and actions taken while managing program operational and sustainment phases.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector providing oversight in the planning and management of Life-Cycle Logistics operations for an organization or program. Examples of qualifying experience may include: Leading a team of functional, technical, and support personnel assisting in the planning and management of logistics management policies and procedures; Serve as a technical consultant to other personnel engaged in developing logistics; Resolving problems having a critical impact on logistics; or utilizing Navy ERP or another Enterprise Resource Planning system for material management.
