You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Supply Chain Execution (SCE) Division of NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH.
Duties
You will provide logistics support for integration and coordination of Distribution to the ordnance inventory logistics management specialists for fleet ordnance operational planning and OCONUS distribution.
You will serve as a primary Navy focal point for coordination and control of Non-Nuclear Ordnance logistics and transportation/traffic management.
You will provide support for the planning, management, direction and administration of the in-service ordnance transportation management for assigned Area of Responsibility.
You will monitor traffic management, transportation safety, and security procedures for movement of Navy ordnance, to include the control of world-wide centralized transportation of ordnance material for assigned programs.
You will provide logistics management support for requisition listings in evaluating the qualifications of requirements based on urgency and purpose to determine the optimum and cost-effective shipping mode.
You will provide cost estimates, potential opportune lift/resupply, other possible conveyances, country unique requirements, ensure MILSTRIP data is accurate, and negotiate Required Delivery Dates (RDD).
You will coordinate and ensure explosives safety compatibility requirements are addressed and assist in Ordnance Hazard Classification, compatibility, quality and quantity review.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-07) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating knowledge of all facets of global inventory management of the naval ammunition stockpile to include: cataloging, requirements determination, support for ordnance maintenance/modification programs, inventory assessment, load plan compliance/training, OCONUS transportation planning, material distribution and strategic positioning, requisition processing, transactional data quality, and crisis response. Examples of specialized experience include: 1) Identifies and resolve transportation issues or problems related to the movement of material; 2) Ensures timely and economical shipping of material; 3) Generates messages to stock points by providing and coordinating shipping instruction direction; offer by, pack by, ship by dates; 4) Oversees and ensures the establishment and maintenance of all required technical, logistics, and inventory related data within the Ordnance Information System-Wholesale (OIS-W) for assigned programs; 5) Participates in the development of operational logistics support with emphasis on ordnance supply support; and 6) Communicates Orally and written to advise management of ongoing and projected initiatives and issues, develops and implements plans of actions needed to resolve program support issues and social new ideas and concepts.

Education

master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
2 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree
