You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of NAVAL AIR TERMINAL.

Duties

You will gather information and analyze pertinent data related to training materials. You will update and maintain training database for accuracy of information. You will develop aspects of Explosive Ordnance Disposal (EOD) training (e.g., course curricula, lesson plans, instructor guides) to assist in the certification of students as qualified to perform EOD activities. You will develop annual training plans for the installation to accomplish training goals and requirement. You will conduct initial or refresher classroom instruction for material handling equipment (MHE) licenses.

Requirements

  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Utilizing a variety of training methods to instruct civilian and military employees in all aspects of air transportation systems, cargo and equipment handling; explosive ordnance handling certification and all assigned material handling equipment (MHE) operator training and licensing; 2) Providing informal training sessions and educational materials to employees on basic safety and occupational health principles, protective measures and safety devices and to identify occupational hazards; 3) Managing and/or prioritizing work to meet deadlines in accordance with assignments. Completed a bachelor's degree with superior academic achievement
