You will serve as a TRAINING SPECIALIST in the Commander, Navy Installations Command Headquarters Washington, DC, Force Protection Division of COMMANDER - NAVAL INSTALLATIONS.

Duties

You will provide high quality training products and guidance to law enforcement/ guard personnel from within CNIC. You will design and develop training courses and write and review course content. You will serve as the primary advisor/ coordinator for designing, developing, and evaluating the CNIC NSF training and development programs. You will research new training materials, evaluate and update training programs and vendor to keep current with new techniques. You will provide advice, guidance, and direction throughout the CNIC force protection lexicon. You will prepare a variety of reports, memoranda, correspondence, newsletters, bulletins, and records related to training.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Coordinating, assembling and designing multidiscipline training requirements for a large organization; 2) Planning and conducting training evaluation, research studies and gap analysis utilizing theories, principles, and practices of human resource development (e.g. training design, interactive training systems, curriculum/courseware development, and training evaluation, training resource requirements). 3) Providing advice, guidance, and direction on training in the field of force protection (i.e. law enforcement, security, antiterrorism); 4) Tracking training records for compliance in a training tracking system, such as, Data Housing and Reports Tool (DHART).
