You will serve as a Human Resources Assistant (Military/OA) in the Consolidated Personnel Administration Center (CPAC) at MCB Camp Pendleton.
The duty station is Camp Pendleton, CA.
Duties
You will serve in one of the following sections of the CPAC: Temporary Additional Duty (TAD), Permanent Change of Station (PCS), Unit Diary, Files and Directives, Separations and Retirement, New Joins Section, Records Clerk (SRB, OQR) and Pay Clerk.
You will perform duties related to your assigned section. See below:
In the Temporary Additional Duty (TAD) section you will perform updates, inquires, and process actions through the Marine Corps Total Force System, and SABRS for temporary additional duty orders.
In the PCS section you will process and review all categories of military personnel orders and counsel Marines on related matters.
In the Unit Diary, Files and Directives section you will perform updates, inquires, and process actions through the Unit Diary Marine Integrated Personnel System, reviewing products to identify and assists in correcting mismatched data
In the Separations and Retirement section you will process required documentation for separation, discharge, augmentation, appellate leave, Warrant Officer, retirement and release from active duty.
In the Record Clerk section reviews reports, forms, documentation, and other related information concerning Marine Corps members and constructs/maintains military personnel records.
In the New Joins section, you will ensure order are correct, print documentation, track processing, and direct Marines to the Travel Section.
In the Pay Clerk section, you will advise individual personnel commanders on military pay and allowances and counsel personnel on matters related to Pay.
You will perform other duties, as assigned.
Requirements
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be determined suitable for federal employment.

- You will be required to obtain and maintain a secret level security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from your normal duty station.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-05) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector using knowledge of clerical practices and office automation equipment and software to accurate provide administrative assistance to senior personnel involved in the management and processing of Personnel Records, Payroll, and/or Travel Administration to perform the following:
1) Complying with established rules, regulations, practices, and guidance to perform provide administrative assistance
2) Using correct grammar, spelling, capitalization, punctuation, and terminology commonly used in office settings to prepare material correctly from handwritten drafts.
3) Performing personnel and/or general administration, human resources processes, and/or office management activities.
4.) Managing multiple tasks and office activities.
5.) Using office automation software to include knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access).
6.) Effectively communicating orally and writing to provide administrative support and customer service, using appropriate tact.
