You will serve as a HR ASSISTANT (PERF MGT/HR DEV/OA) in the HUMAN RESOURCES OFFICE of MARINE CORPS BASE CAMP PENDLETON.

Duties

You will provide technical assistance and administrative support to the Human Resources Office. You will coordinate various aspects of training aboard Marine Corps Base. You will review performance evaluations/standards or justifications for awards from organizations to ensure regulatory guidelines are adhered to for awards submitted for higher level approval. You will use personal computer, word processing and/or other office automation equipment and various software programs to create, copy, edit, store, retrieve and print a variety of documents. You will compose routine correspondence, prepare complex charts, graphs, tables, or other similar material. You will coordinate various aspects of training aboard Marine Corps Base. You will coordinates all on-site training, ensuring that facilities are available, open, and ready and that training materials and equipment are ready. You will coordinate with HR staff on local and regional requirements, budget, and delivery.

Requirements

  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • This position requires the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Your response to the typing skill question on the Occupational Questionnaire will be used in your qualification determination.

Qualifications

GS-07: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-06 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing technical assistance and administrative support for human resources development, training initiatives, and performance management. GS-06: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-05 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Assisting with human resources development, training initiatives, and performance management.
