You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist of NAVSUP WEAPON SYSTEMS SUPPORT. In this role, you will serve as the Assistant Program Manager for United Kingdom (UK) within the Strategic Weapons System (SWS) Division Programs and Allowance Branch. This branch is dedicated to SWS Program Management and Allowance on behalf of Strategic Systems Programs (SSP) in support of the Naval Nuclear Deterrence Mission (NNDM).

Duties

You will assist senior Logistics Management Specialists in the development of Logistics support programs. You will use a broad-based knowledge of theories and principes of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan, implement, and manage a broad spectrum of logistics support. You will identify specific requirements for money, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support the program. You will monitor and control progress to ensure efficient and accurate deliverables of supply support. You will develop and maintain milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support.

  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.

Qualifications

For the GS-09 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) concepts, policies, and procedures. Specialized experience must include: 1) Using integrated programs to manage ILS allowancing, configuration management, budgetary planning, data maintenance, procurement execution, etc.; 2) Maintaining and developing milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support; 3) Monitoring and controlling progress to ensure efficient and accurate deliverables of supply support ILS element products; 4) Visiting prime contractors and ensuring materials needed are expedited to meet mission deadlines and goals; 5) Planning, coordinating, and evaluating logistical actions required to support a specified mission; 6) Preparing technical reports and evaluating requirements and procedures of logistics management projects. For the GS-07 grade level: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector with knowledge of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) concepts, policies, and procedures. Specialized experience must include: 1) Using integrated programs to manage ILS allowancing, configuration management, budgetary planning, data maintenance, procurement execution, etc.; 2) Maintaining and developing milestones and performance statistics for optimum weapon support; 3) Monitoring and controlling progress to ensure efficient and accurate deliverables of supply support ILS element products; 4) Visiting prime contractors and ensuring materials needed are expedited to meet mission deadlines and goals. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

For the GS-09 Level:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree
OR
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to this position being filled.
OR
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience

For the GS-07 Level:
Successful completion of 1 full year of graduate level education
OR
Successful completion of a Bachelor's degree with Superior academic achievement
OR
A combination of experience and education as described above that equates to one year of experience
