About the Position: Serves as the Family Advocacy Specialist at the installation level with professional and technical responsibility for assisting with assessing and preventing, child and spouse abuse tailoring and prioritizing ACS service delivery in support of local military and Family needs.

Duties

Plans, develops, executes, evaluates, and modifies a training program designed to provide personnel with information and guidance regarding program procedures and policies to enhance their knowledge and skills. Develops, disseminates and executes Army and IMCOM FAP policy guidance and regulatory standards for family advocacy program services delivery. Obtains, maintains, and analyzes data for planning and reporting purposes in accordance with governing program guidance.

In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position, you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Providing services to improve family relationships. 2) Evaluating the effectiveness of family advocacy programs to make recommendations to improve capabilities and efficiency. 3) Determining program resource requirements to include manpower, supplies, equipment, or other expenditures required for program operations. 4) Conducting family advocacy training and/or education programs. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education and TrainingInformation ManagementPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
