You will serve as a Logistics Management Specialist in the Naval Sea Logistics Center of NAVSEALOGCENKYPTDIVNUWC MECH PA in Mechanicsburg, PA.
Duties
You will serve as a logistics analyst, evaluating numerous logistics phases and Integrated Product Support (IPS) elements to ensure proper support identification and readiness throughout the product life cycle.
You will monitor and manage the logistics efforts of various DON and DoD organizations and/or other government agencies.
You will assist with oversight to ensure support is correct, complete, and accomplished in a timely manner.
You will manage the process and productivity of Integrated Process Teams (IPTs) responsible for planning the initial and sustainment logistics needs of the acquisition project.
You will establish goals, designates responsibilities, and interprets impact on overarching programs associated with life-cycle logistics.
You will develop and direct IPS concepts and plans to ensure the appropriate types and levels of IPS are in place for DoD and other government agency-managed projects (both at the ship platform and equipment levels).

- This position is covered under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA). Certification in the Acquisition Functional Area and category assigned to the position is required within established category timeframes.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
GS-12: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing management of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for program assets during the acquisition, maintenance, and deployment phases of items or system lifecycle.
GS-11: Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: assisting in providing management of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) for program assets during the acquisition, maintenance, and deployment phases of items or system lifecycle.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a PhD or equivalent doctoral degree
OR
Successful completion of two full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a PhD
OR
Possession of an LL.M. that is related to this position being filled.
