This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
About the Position: Serve as an Acquisition Manager for Product Lead Tactical Space Superiority (PL TSS). PL TSS is responsible for acquiring and fielding integrated, tactical capabilities to a variety of Army organizations.
Duties
Plan, develop and establish the contractual strategy for the overall acquisition program for the organization.
Responsible for the full range of acquisition planning and contract management functions required to support a project.
Serve as a primary representative on contract related task forces.
Make reports to higher headquarters on status of contracts.
Prepare and maintain current acquisition plans, appropriate milestone charts and related schedules.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Male applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.
- One-year probationary period may be required.
- You will be required to provide proof of U.S. Citizenship.
- This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for certification at Level Foundational in the Acquisition Career Field Contracting within 36 months of entrance on duty.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- The incumbent of this position will be required to complete and file a Financial Disclosure Statement (SF 450/OGE-450).
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Top-Secret security clearance with sensitive compartmental information or access for the duration of employment.
- This position is subject to a pre-employment screening, and random testing thereafter, to include testing based on reasonable suspicion and testing due to direct involvement with an on-duty accident.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Making recommendations on contract and acquisition strategies for successful contract award; 2) Assisting with activities for Other Transaction Authority (OTA) execution; and 3) Reviewing acquisition and contracting strategies and documentation for compliance with policy.
Education
