About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Procurement and Production Officer within G8, Resource & Acquisition Integration Division. A Recruitment/Relocation Incentive MAY be offered, depending on funding availability and management discretion. An Incentive must be requested by selected applicant and approved prior to hire.

Duties

Provides high level managers and military planners with background information, planning rationales, and analysis of alternatives. Determines the amount of funding, equipment, supplies and other support needed. Reviews work progress in terms of results expected versus results obtained, based on operating reports, degree of production within the organization, schedules, priorities, resources, and objectives Provides expert consultant services for procurement laws and regulations, acquisition strategy, production capabilities, Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) actions, and contract administration. Represents the assigned area(s) in conferences/meetings that require extensive preparation to exchange information, evaluate/coordinate projects, defend actions, propose solutions and discuss and resolve complex problems. Responsible for the execution of administrative and personnel management responsibilities related to the accomplishment of the mission assigned.

• Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
• This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
• This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.
• his position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.
• This is an Army Acquisition, Logistics and Technology Workforce position. Selectee must meet position requirements for Foundational Contracting Professional Certification within 36 months of entrance on duty,
• This position requires the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) Contracting Professional Certification. Certification must be obtained within 24 months of effective date.
