About the Position: The Chemical Biological Center (CBC) is the nation's principal research and development resource for non-medical chemical and biological defense. Duties

Perform Human Resources (HR) work for a variety of Center initiatives to include: recruitment programs, retention planning, acquisition management, and/or organizational structure. Serve as a liaison with various Civilian Personnel Advisory Centers and resource management personnel on matters relative to personnel actions. Create position descriptions and request for personnel actions using automated personnel systems. Participate in special program areas including Lab Demo, Position Classification and Acquisition. Administer recruitment programs for students, interns and/or other focus group recruitments. Manage HR matters for the re-employed annuitant employees and the Intergovernmental Personnel Act mobility program. Manipulate and maintain a variety of personnel and manpower-related databases and management information systems. Perform data entry requiring a high degree of accuracy, writes queries to extract information, generates reports and troubleshoots system problems or data discrepancies. Collect, analyze, evaluates, and maintains operational personnel, manpower and historical data to prepare a variety of reports, such as organizational structure, resources utilization, mission, function, and work processes, etc.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain Secret Security Clearance.
  • Three-year trial/probationary period may be required.
  • This position is eligible for Regular and Recurring Telework as determined by the agency policy.
  • This is a temporary position NTE 4 months and cannot be made permanent.

Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify.
