You will serve as a Work Reception Specialist in the Facilities Maintenance Department of MARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR. Initial consideration for this announcement is limited to the number of applications listed at the top of this announcement. Duties

You will assign work to applicable government agencies and service contractors. You will determine work priorities relative to the departments funding controls and mission factors. You will generate weekly production control performance metrics reports. You will assist with the development of work packages and completion of other major Public Work Projects. You will provide Maximo (USMCmax) Information Systems Coordinator support. You will ensure facility deficiencies and their impact on the military and civilian personnel are logged, analyzed, reported and monitored. You will be responsible for end-user and customer training at all levels including group or individual training.

  • Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326.
  • Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final secret security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • This is a bargaining unit position.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing a full range of administrative production control; processing customer requests for corrective, urgent, and project level work; and identifying proposed system changes, organization requirements, quality and types of data elements. In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:

Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree

or

3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree

or

LL.M., if related
