You will serve as an INSTALLATION ENERGY MANAGER in the U.S. Marine Corps Air Station Miramar ofMARINE CORPS AIR STATION MIRAMAR.

Duties

You will ensure compliance with use of Energy Star/energy efficient equipment and appliances. You will lead in the oversight, development and implementation of energy and water conservation policies and guidelines to achieve installation specific energy reduction goals. You will collect and analyze energy and water information and data from AEMRR, DUERS, etc. Reporting and make recommendations regarding trends, consumption and opportunities for operational efficiency gains. You will serve as the primary technical and programmatic advisor to the Installation. You will manage the Installations Building Energy Monitor Program and conducts training for assigned Building Energy Monitors (BEM). You will analyze and interpret contract drawings and specifications to determine the extent of the contractor's responsibility under the provisions of the contract. Develops and supports research and development projects for new and innovation technologies for evaluation and experience towards the progression of the installation. The incumbent conducts facility surveys or audits and reports in accordance with current directives from HQMC and EISA requirements.

  • Completion of a satisfactory BACKGROUND INVESTIGATION is required.
  • This position is eligible for part time, substantial or ad-hoc telework at the discretion of management.
  • SECURITY: This position is NONCRITICAL-SENSITIVE and requires a security clearance up to and including SECRET.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: extensive knowledge and experience on Energy Management Program. Ability to establish and implement comprehensive utility and energy management programs, including project development, budget, energy conservation and consumption, etc. Ability to plan, administer and and evaluate future energy projects through development and construction. Ability to problem solve complex technical issues to resolution.
