About the Position: This position is with the U.S. Army Engineer Research and Development Center (ERDC), Directorate of Resource Management. This position is being filled as a Management Analyst DJ-0343-2/3 (GS 5-12) DJ 2: $39,576 - 85,844 DJ 3: $72553 - $113,047

Duties

Supports ERDC’s Management Analysis and Manpower Branch mission functions. Serves as point of contact for ERDC’s Business Process Improvement and Quality Management Programs. Performs duties to support USACE annual Risk Management Internal Control (RMIC), (Army and USACE program). Supports the DoD Government Travel Card program for customer assistance. Maintains personnel and manpower documentation and allocation information such as mission and function statements, Tables of Distribution and Analysis (TDAs) and organizational charts. Maintains all property records for the Branch. Update all property reports and individual hand receipts. Utilizes the Integrated Manning Document to correct and validate structure change requests. Ensures accuracy of financial transaction codes, manpower AMSCOs, MDEPS, UICs and position codes

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • Appointment to this position is subject to a probationary period unless the appointee has previously met the requirements as described in 5 CFR Part 315
  • This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required
  • This position requires completion of the Financial Management (FM) Certification Program Level II.
  • This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 10% of the time.

This definition of general experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-1 (GS-04). OR Education: Four year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 36. Then divide your total number of completed undergraduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 120. Add the two percentages. DJ-3 Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: Interpreting manpower guidance; Creating reorganization documents, such as position crosswalks or organizational charts; Developing recommendations on new policies and guidelines and Monitoring full time equivalent (FTE) execution, utilization, and allocations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the second lower grade/level position in the federal service DJ-2 (GS-09). OR Education: Ph.D or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M. in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, Resource Management. OR Combination of Education and Experience: A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) beyond the second year (total graduate semester hours minus 36) by 18. Add the two percentages.
