About the Position: This position is with the Mississippi Valley Division, Programs Directorate - Civil Works - Integration Division located in Vicksburg, MS

Duties

Identify and analyze complex funding problems using sound reasoning to arrive at conclusions and recommendations. Find alternative solutions to complex funding problems. Develop detailed budget plans, estimates, budget forecasting and/or cost saving recommendations. Evaluate civil works budget programming policies to determine effects on the impacted organizations' plans, schedule, and/or operations. Analyze program accomplishments and provide recommendations to improve utilization of funds. Provide sound responses and advice on program policy and procedures. Present findings of internal quality reviews, studies, or assessments to higher authorities. Analyze data to identify program issues in the area of performance management, administrative processes or internal controls. Perform analysis necessitated by the broad interrelationships between Civil Works programs, legislation, and congressional interactions.

This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Oral CommunicationOrganizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
