About the Position: This position is with the Mississippi Valley Division, Programs Directorate - Civil Works - Integration Division located in Vicksburg, MS

Duties

Provide guidance and coordination with the districts to ensure that the information from them provides adequate basis for their requests. Prepare and defend a budget request to meet the goals and objectives of Civil Works program. Directs revisions to the district programming data as necessary. Identify and/or anticipate program and/or budget problems and to evaluate alternative solutions. Develop the Division priorities for the Civil Works Program, based on analyses of work items and project outputs. Provide oversight to the districts by developing balanced annual and multi-year civil Works programs and budgets. Provide guidance of laws, regulations, policies and/or precedents regarding the use of work program funding. Oversee the District's Civil Works Program and resolves programming issues. Provide programs management guidance on any combination of several appropriations, such as Investigations, Construction, or Operations and Maintenance.

You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Organizational AwarenessPlanning and EvaluatingTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
