About the Position: Serves as Division Chief for the Systems Management Division (SMD), Director Of Logistics (G-4) consisting of the Logistics Enterprise Branch (LEB), the Property Management Branch (PMB), and the Logistics Integration Branch for the US Army Special Operations Command (USASOC), an Army Service Component Command (ASCC) with a global mission to provide equipped, trained, organized, and ready special operations forces in support of the Geographic Combatant Commanders.

Duties

Monitors global events, through participation in conferences and forums. Conducts compliance inspections to support the Organizational Inspection Program and the command Supply discipline Program. Conducts training to maintain currency or as required for the fielding of new systems. Compiles all the data and provides analysis and recommendations to the command group.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • The incumbent must obtain and maintain a Top Secret Special-Sensitive (SS) Security Clearance with Sensitive Compartmented Info. Intelligence Community Dir 704.
  • This is a drug testing designated position. In accordance with AR 600-85, Alcohol and Drug Abuse Prevention and Control Program, the incumbent must successfully pass a urinalysis screening prior to the appointment and periodically thereafter.
  • One year supervisory probationary period may be required, unless previously completed.

  • May require TDY travel occasionally.

You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes experience in 1) managing, implementing, promoting, and coordinating a transportation program; 2) develop and implement plans, policies, and procedures pertaining to containerization, transportation account codes, automation, and other transportation support; 3) compiles data and analysis in the systems such as the Defense Readiness Reporting System (DRRS); 4) written and oral communication to deal with commanders and senior level staff on readiness of special operations forces in support of the Geographic Combatant Commanders. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
