About the Position: This position is with the United States Army Reserves, G-4, Logistics Management Division located at Fort Liberty, North Carolina.

Duties

Serve as Program Manager for Army Reserve Logistics with supervisory and management responsibilities. Supervise multifunctional teams that may include Equipment Specialists, Inventory Management Specialists, Supply Management Specialists, Readiness Analysts, Technical Writers, Engineers, and Procurement Analysts. Coordinate the implementation of new logistics technologies, methods and applications within the G-4. Manage the Army Reserve Logistics Management Concepts for reorganization of United States Army Reserve (USAR) logistics. Gain compliance with established policies, regulations and contracts with effective communication, advise General Officers, Senior Executive Civilians, and other higher-ranking officials on decisions that may encounter resistance to proposed changes. Serve as Contracting Officers Representative (COR) for assigned or negotiated contracts supporting United States Army Reserve logistics programs. Manage contracting operations and contract cells within the Logistics Studies Branch. Develop modeling and operations research analysis techniques to analyze and evaluate new or emerging technologies. Serve as the Logistics (G-4) focal point of contact for Functional Area Assessments (FAAs), analyzing unit missions, capabilities, and logistics readiness.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes supervisory duties for assigned personnel with responsibility for integrating new and emerging technologies, methods, or applications in fields of logistics and business management; analyzing, evaluating, directing and coordinating the implementation of new logistic technologies, methods, or applications; supervising the activities of multifunctional teams, such as: Equipment Specialists, Inventory Management Specialists, Supply Management Specialists, and Readiness Analysts; developing plans or programs for supply, maintenance, or transportation management operations; analyzing readiness data to ensure units are logistically prepared to mobilize; overseeing procurement and distribution of equipment; and administering life-cycle management of allocated major equipment. . This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
