The incumbent supports the Alaska Flight Services Information Area Group (AFSIAG) manager with the management of program/project work activities, budget execution and/or the formulation activities surrounding Alaska Flight Services.

Duties

Provides oversight and guidance with budget formulation and/or budget execution according to established federal regulations and practices for the Federal government. May act as a contributing specialist on large work activities or as a project manager for large projects/programs/activities. Applies experience and comprehensive knowledge applicable to budget and program analysis to plan and conduct functional activities for projects/programs.

Requirements

  • US Citizenship is required.
  • Selective Service Registration is required for males born after 12/31/1959.
  • Must submit an SF50 (See Required Documents).
  • Position is designated as Moderate Risk; a background investigation may be required.

Qualifications

Applicants must demonstrate at least one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade/band (FG/GS-12 or FV-H). Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is in or related to the work of the position to be filled.Specialized experience is defined as: experience utilizing budget processes, procedures and requirements such as cost-benefit relationships, forecasting, and analysis to formulate, justify, and monitor the execution of the budget; experience preparing financial documents, reports, and budgets; and experience using Travel (E2), Budget (REGIS, DELPHI), Personal Property Accountability (AITS) and Acquisition (PRISM), etc., or similar software/programs/databases.Qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement.
