About the Position: Serve as a Senior Program Manager for O&M and MR&T within the Project Resources Management Support Branch (PRMB), Operations Division, with responsibility for the programming process to include formulating, justifying, and executing the programs which consist of: (1) Operations and Maintenance, General; and (2) the operation and maintenance category of the Flood Control, Mississippi River and Tributary Projects.
Duties
Work includes scheduling and monitoring projects and utilization of funds within the assigned programs.
Utilizes project data and budget information contained in reports, data from previous budget schedules, performance reports and other reports in the execution of budget programs for assigned projects.
Plans and manages day-to-day activities and is accountable for the quality, quantity, and timeliness of upward reporting.
Serves as Branch coordinator with the Vicksburg District Programs Office for data calls and other information requests.
Coordinates annual preparation and submission of the Civil Works program for all 17 projects managed in the branch.
Coordinates with Operations Managers, Branch Chiefs, and team leaders in reviewing and analyzing data and making recommendations on a wide variety of actions, issues, and problems that affect Operations Division performance.

GS-11 Level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Monitoring the schedules of Operations & Maintenance (O&M) activities and create estimates for funds to be obligated and expended each month; (2) Assisting in the preparation of the annual operating budget for the business line and manage funds for the project's operation; and (3) Analyzing the budget costs monthly, identify discrepancies, and provide recommendations for budget adjustments to Branch leadership. This definition of specialized experience is typical work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09)
OR
Education: Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree in a field which demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of the position, such as: biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry, or related disciplines appropriate to the position.
GS-12 Level:
Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: (1) Analyzing status of the O&M, Flood Control and Coastal Emergencies (FCCE) and Indirect program to develop the initial funds requirements for labor, materials, and supplies, and contract support required to implement the programs; and (2) Independently consolidating schedules, budgets, reports, monitoring programs, identifying trends through analysis, and recommends action to project program managers to maintain program execution. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
