About the Position: Serves as a Supervisory Budget Analyst and works under the general supervision of the Budget Division Chief, G8 and USAACE located in Fort Eustis, Virginia.
Duties
Allocates funds to projects and programs based on analysis of budget estimates, historical expenditures, projected workload, and approved funding.
Advises program managers and management officials on the: status and availability of funds; requirement for reprogramming between budget accounts; and maintenance, balance, and distribution.
Supervise employees involves in the application of financial laws and statues, financial and budget systems policies, accounting principles, theories, concepts, and practices as they pertain to budget, financial systems and interfacing systems.
Establishes standards of performance and evaluates subordinates against accepted standards.
Provide advice, counsel, or instruction to individual employees involving technical work as well as administrative matters.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Incumbent must complete Supervisory Probationary for one year.
- Temporary Duty travel up to 10% of them time.
- Must obtain and maintain Secret background investigation.
- Incumbent must maintain and obtain Financial Management Level 2 Certification.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes which includes formulating and executing an organizational budget; reviewing and analyzing reimbursement or expenditure requests; providing financial advisory recommendations in accordance with budget policies and regulations; and performing a wide range of personnel management duties (such as work distribution and training). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent GS-12.
