Duties

Collaborate with a team of technical experts to plan, direct, and perform the installation of complex systems, associated facilities, and radomes at various locations. Complete maintenance and repair for integrated electronics systems such as Advanced Extremely High Frequency (AEHF) Satellite Communications (SATCOM) or other Radio Frequency (RF) communications systems. Develop and evaluate new or modified electronic systems. Provide hardware and software support for Personal Computer (PC) users or communication devices with basic IP based networking knowledge. Follow High-Altitude electromagnetic Pulse (HEMP) Protection standards and perform Hardness Maintenance/Hardness Surveillance (HM/HS) on systems and facilities.

GS-11: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes: 1) Preparing designs and recommending design changes to equipment or parts; 2) Utilizing computer software such as Logistic Modernization Project (LMP) to prepare documents and input data; AND 3) Developing standard operating procedures for technical work on electronics and/or industrial systems. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: ElectronicsOral CommunicationProblem SolvingProject Management GS-10 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09). GS-11 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
