About the Position: This position serves as a Lead Electronics Technician in the Prototype, Integration, Testing and Training (PITT) Center at Tobyhanna Army Depot (TYAD).
Duties
Responsible for the design, development, system training, testing, troubleshooting, operations, maintenance, and training.
Develops project design, schedule, and financial reports with production management and presented to depot management and the project office.
Participates with PM representatives preparing Memorandums of Agreement (MOAs), Statements of Work (SOWs), Project Management Plans (PMPs), Material Fielding Plans (MFPs), Test and Evaluation Master Plans (TEMPs), and executive level presentations.
Serves as a Team Lead, working with team members to achieve specific tasks, produce work products and services and meet production goals and is responsible to the supervisor for ensuring that work assignments are carried out by the team.
Estimate and report on expected time of completion of work and maintain records of work accomplishments and time expended and prepare production reports as requested.
Manages Project Administration employing expertise in various electronics fields and program management to and resolve conflict and develop approaches.
Provides leadership and guidance to engineering, shops, and production management making sound decisions and assuring success on design, integration, and system training while assuring the Army has supportability for these systems.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment. A background investigation and credit check are required.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of 25% of the time.
- Recurring lifting of light to moderately heavy items weighing less than 50 pounds (i.e., 23 kilograms), such as testing or measuring equipment.
- This position requires the completion of a pre-employment Physical Examination and an annual examination thereafter to ensure the continued, required level of physical health ability or fitness to perform the duties of the position.
- Selectees must meet position requirements for Engineering and Technical Management certification within 36 months for entrance on duty.

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes 1) Managing, designing and testing complex electronic and/or communication systems; 2) Providing technical guidance on electronic and design theory and techniques; 3) Leading team members to achieve specific tasks, program and/or production goals.
