About the Position: This position serves as a case analyst in the Military Review Boards, Army Review Boards Agency. Conducts in-depth analysis of applications, all supporting information, and governing regulatory authorities submitted to the Army Review Boards Agency for the purpose of correcting errors or injustices in military records.
Duties
Analyze applications to properly interpret situations in the context of military personnel policy requirements.
Provide written materials to dispute interrelated facts that must be reconstructed from evidence ranging from circumstantial to sworn testimony during the adjudication process.
Utilize communication skills to ensure that internal and external communications are properly conveyed.
Present details in a logical and comprehensive format that informs the board and ultimately the applicant of all decisions made.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance.
- Must sign statement of understanding for accepting a term position.
- One year trial period may be required.
Qualifications
Term Appointment NTE - Position may be filled as a Term Appointment NTE 3 years. Term appointments may be extended beyond of six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years.
Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a Term appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes reviewing personnel records and documentation for accuracy and completeness; analyzing and applying human resources policies and regulations; and providing written and oral reports to leadership on applicable human resources issues. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
