You will serve as a DEPUTY ASSOCIATE DIRECTOR, MISSION SUPPORT in the TSC, ARCTIC SECURITY STUDIES of DDHBAP ASIA PACIFIC CENTER FOR SECURITY STUDIES.
Duties
You will serve as a key advisor to ADMS in the areas of office management, facilities and physical security, IT and communications, travel and talent management.
You will monitor daily administrative management and operation of the Center and provide recommendations to ADMS on best practices and process improvements.
You will monitor and advise on present use patterns of buildings, equipment, and other facilities, projecting future requirements in terms of expanding or changing Center requirements.
You will serve as reviewing official for financial transactions, to include oversight of the TSC's use of the DSCA financial management system, as well as budget oversight.
You will assist with regular review of budget execution as reported by the budget officer and provides advice to ADSMS on the allocation of financial resources.
You will establish and direct fire prevention, security and other related program operations for TSC facilities to ensure occupant comfort and safety.
Requirements

- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
For GS-13:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Planning, directing, and executing project life cycle support by setting and adjusting long-term goals to improve business operations for the achievement of meeting organizational goals and objectives.
FOR GS-14:
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing guidance in business operations (e.g. office management, facilities, physical security, IT) to provide recommendations and improve business processes to ensure program goals are achieved.
