Duties

You will collect data, analyze requirements, and develop plans and procedures considering the available financial resources, time, limits and manpower constrains. You will plan and schedule work assignments on a long-range basis, projecting budget estimates and allocating resources within Utilities. You will be responsible for the oversight of a number of complex diagnostic testing procedures regarding the safety, reliability, and operational characteristics of electrical, natural gas, portable water, sanitary sewer and other utilities systems. You will monitor the progress of the organization toward goals of production and personnel management objectives; periodically evaluates this progress and makes adjustments as necessary. You will provide guidance, leadership, prioritization, and commitment to ensure maximum resource conservation.

Requirements

  • This is a Mission Essential position. You will be required to ensure organization or facility continuity of operations and/or completion of tasks that are considered essential to the mission designated by a local or command decision.
  • You will be required to possess and maintain a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • You will be required to wear personal protective equipment such as helmets, gloves, coveralls, glasses, goggles, respirators and safety shoes continuously for the duration of the work shift.
  • You will be required to train and/or guide lower graded employees in performance of duties.

Qualifications

Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing and coordinating facility operations including overseeing operations, maintenance and repair of utility systems. Education

Individual Occupational Requirements:

Undergraduate and Graduate Education: Major study -- engineering, industrial arts, property management, or business administration.
