You will serve as a FACILITY OPERATIONS SPECIALIST in the Office of the Director of MARINE CORPS BASE QUANTICO.

Duties

You will coordinate activities so the Deputy and Director can plan for the design, construction, maintenance and repair of Class I and II Real Property facilities under control of the Commander. You will implement plans and strategies to resolve inter organizational and tenant command differences involving procedures, priorities, space assignments, and equipment requirements. You will coordinates and maintain a comprehensive integrated system of staff services in the broad area of facilities, environment, and housing management You will assist the Deputy in the development and management of the organization's budget so to adequately provide for continued annual operations. You will develop courses of action for the provision of utilities to the Base from the private sector as it relates to Enhanced Use Leases, Utilities Privatization, or Power Purchase Agreements. You will perform customer service at the Division Director level; tracking both service ticket actions and construction project updates.

Requirements

  • You will be required to possess a current valid United States driver’s license.
  • This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
  • You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.
  • You will be required to complete ethics orientation within three months of appointment and submit a Confidential Financial Disclosure Report, OGE-450, within 30 days of appointment.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: planning maintenance activities and preventive maintenance programs involving a wide variety of trades for buildings and building systems, determining budget requirements (i.e. materials, labor, training and overhead) for facilities sustainment, restoration and modernization projects AND resolving technical issues associated with the maintenance, repair, and alteration of facilities.
