About the Position: Serves as a supply technician responsible for receiving, turn-in, shipment, and inventory of supply and equipment, to include the procurement functions, for the HHC, 20TH CBRNE HQs. The supply service support is provided to all CBRNE HQs personnel, and extending to all CONUS/OCONUS operational missions/teams supported by the HQs.
Duties
Processes requests for expendable and non-expendable supplies and equipment.
Prepares and processes documents and reports associated with the requisition, receipt, storage, inventory, shipment, disposition and status of general and specialized supplies and equipment used by the organization.
Makes inspections of storage area(s) to assure physical security, proper display, labeling of supplies, and safety.
Ordering officer with authorization to place Blanket Purchase Agreements (BPA) and to make over the counter and telephonic purchases using the International Merchant Purchase Authorization Card (IMPAC).
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- Position is Non-Critical Sensitive (2) requiring security clearance or the incumbent must be able to obtain and maintain an appropriate security clearance.
- MUST have a Forklift operator license/certificate MUST BE UPLOADED WITH YOUR APPLICATION.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid state Driver's License in one of the 50 U.S. states or possessions to operate vehicles.
- Available for occasional call back overtime.
- Subject to Lautenberg Amendment.
- Drug Testing Required.
- This position requires temporary duty (TDY) travel up to 15% of the time.
- May be required to lift boxes and other materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
- This position has a 1 year probationary period.

Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes;
1) Providing supply operation support involving supply management, purchasing, and performing physical inventories;
2) Working with vendors to ensure prompt and accurate delivery of materials and equipment; AND
3) Conducting research to determine best approaches to deal with issues of material/component scarcity on critical items.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06).
