About the Position: This position is in the Defense Health Agency Public Health, Aberdeen Proving Ground (APG), MD. Salary negotiation may be available for those candidates who are new to Federal service.

Duties

Check documentation of purchases and written requests for purchase. Screen and edit requests of expendable, non-expendable, medical and non-medical supplies and equipment, non-expendable high dollar value purchases. Maintain digital and hard copy property transaction records (Gains, Losses and Transfers) in accordance with (IAW) applicable regulations, supply bulletins, policy letters and Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). Operate automated supply systems for supply actions such as data entry, reports retrieval, error correction and specific property record search. Assist and advise the organization’s primary hand receipt holders with conducting cyclic inventories of their assigned non-expendable property.

Requirements

  • Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
  • A Personnel Security Investigation is required.
  • Moderate to heavy lifting up to 20 pounds is required.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: operating an automated supply system; maintaining log or register of transactions; and assisting in preparation of Financial Liability Investigations of Property Loss (FLIPL). This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-05). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical)Organizational AwarenessTechnical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-05).
