You will serve as a HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (CLASSIFICATION) in the Human Resources Office of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will serve as a subject matter expert for providing position classification, information, advice and guidance to supervisors, managers, and personnel with delegated classification authority.
You will provide analysis on the classification impact of draft or new classification standards.
You will assist customers to apply new classification and draft standards in a timely manner.
You will perform detailed research and conduct desk audits by phone and in the field.
You will review formal classification appeals and prepares the management response
You will provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to supervisors, managers and selecting officials on recruitment sources, methods and appointing authorities.
You will interpret laws, regulations, rules, manuals, instructions, notices, policies and standard operating procedures (SOP's)
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Qualifications for the GS-12 Grade LevelYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing federal classification authoritative advice and consultative service to customers; and interpreting and applying position classification standards to professional, administrative and interdisciplinary positions to determine appropriate pay plan, occupational series, title and grade level for civilian positions.
Qualifications for the GS-11 Grade LevelYour resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Interpreting civilian human resources laws to provide advice on classification functions; and recommending solutions to resolve civilian human resources problems/issues with organization design or providing advisory or guidance to management on classification or position management.

For the GS-11:Education may be substituted for specialized experience as follows:- Successfully completed a Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree;-OR-- Successfully completed three full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. or equivalent degree;-OR-- Successfully completed an LL.M. degree that is related to the position being filled; -OR- a combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
