You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR RELATIONS/EMPLOYEE RELATIONS) in the Labor and Employee Relations Department of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will provide authoritative advisory services to management on complex or high profile issues related to employee and labor relations.
You will advise on investigations of employee issues to identify causes and provide advice on appropriate penalties to ensure consistent and progressive discipline throughout the organization.
You will interpret Labor Relations/Employee Relations policies, guidance and new legislation for its impact on program goals and objectives.
You will plan and assign work to be accomplished based on priorities, difficulty, special expertise required and capabilities of employees.
You will negotiate and obtain agreement and/or necessary action concerning activity employment policies and practices affecting labor relations.
You will maintain good working relationships with high ranking activity commanders, civilian management, union officials and employees to resolve difficult and complex employee and labor relations issues.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: managing labor relations and employee relations programs by solving complex issues within a complex industrial command.
