You will serve as a SUPERVISORY HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST in the Commander U.S. Pacific Fleet, Human Resources Office Northwest, (HRO NW) of COMPACFLT HRO NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will serve as a consultant to management on all personnel staffing matters with independent responsibility for resolving controversial, complex and difficult types of problem cases.
You will develop strategic recruitment advisory services and utilize networking/outreach efforts to determine where and how to find the talent needed to accomplish the mission.
You will supervise HR Specialists and Assistants who perform Staffing and Recruitment, Position Classification, Position Management and Organizational Development services.
You will collaborate with managers to develop innovative staffing solutions and alternative courses of action.
You will identify and coordinate employee development and training needs.
You will partner with staff and OCHR counterparts to discuss significant human resources issues.
Requirements

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
- Supervisors in the executive branch have a heightened personal responsibility for advancing government ethics. You will be required to review the 14 General Principles of Ethical Conduct at 5 CFR 2635.101.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector analyzing human resources programs such as staffing, recruitment, workforce shaping, and position classification to provide technical advisory services including developing strategies to resolve placement, workforce planning or position classification issues.
