You will serve as an EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT to the Commanding Officer (CO) of TRIDENT REFIT FACILITY, BANGOR.

Duties
You will develop the Executive Staff budget and track expenditures.
You will analyze data and present recommendations to the CO and ED for reallocation of funds.
You will prepare, arrange, review, and submit all scheduling, correspondence and travel documents necessary for the successful attendance of the CO, XO, and ED at TDY meetings, conferences and speaking engagements.
You will process travel requests and reimbursement vouchers, perform timekeeping, and submit overtime requests for the Executive Staff.
You will coordinate Information Technology support for the Executive Staff, resolving problems and obtaining new or replacement equipment.
You will research, analyze, assemble, and summarize material necessary to respond to inquiries lacking precedent or not specifically related to functions performed by other departments.
You will demonstrate proficiency in business writing.
You will apply knowledge of spelling, punctuation, required formats and syntax sufficient to identify and correct grammatical errors and type materials in final form.
You will take minutes of meetings.
You will apply knowledge of Information Technology (IT) platforms and requirements.
You will apply knowledge and proficiency in the use of all Microsoft applications to include: Word, SharePoint, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, and Teams.
You will apply knowledge to ensure proper format, mathematical correctness, and correct grammatical content of correspondence.
You will make necessary arrangements for conferences including space, time, and attendees, and assembles necessary background information.
Requirements

- Generally, current federal employees applying for GS jobs must serve at least one year at the next lower grade level. This requirement is called time-in-grade. Time-in-grade requirements must be met by the closing date of this announcement.

- This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Providing office management and administrative support to ensure administrative practices, procedures, and policies used are of a high standard and consistently applied for the operational effectiveness of an organization.

Education
In lieu of specialized experience, you may qualify with the following education or combination of both education and experience:
Successful completion of a master's or equivalent graduate degree
or
Successful completion of two (2) full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master's degree
or
Possession of an LL.B. or J.D. that is related to the position being filled
or
A combination of experience and graduate education as described above that equates to one year of experience.
