You will serve as a SUPERVISORY DEPUTY OPERATIONS MANAGER in the OPERATIONS DIVISION (N3) of COMMANDER, NAVY REGION NORTHWEST.
Duties
You will monitor implementation of business plans and budgets to make adjustments for unforeseen issues or requirements.
You will advise senior leaders on new mission requirements or business processes needed to accomplish an organization's strategic objectives.
You will evaluate existing policy directives to make recommendations required for regional program management.
You will coordinate the strategic planning effort for an organization on matters of funding, facilities, personnel, and schedule requirements.

- Frequent travel (35%) will be required by various means which may include ships, boats, commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, and off road vehicles.

Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:
1) Developing, drafting and reviewing new, or modifying existing policy for an Operations program in one or more of the following areas (Air Operations, Port Operations, Force Protection, Fire and Emergency Services, Safety, Training and Exercises, Emergency Management) to meet legislative and higher headquarters requirements; 2) Coordinating projects with major stakeholders; 3) Evaluating equipment, funding and personnel requirements versus resources to determine vulnerabilities and mitigations; 4) Providing briefs to leadership for decision making; 5) Developing organization structure, policies, goals and objectives for a specific Operational program; and 6) Supervising an operational program to achieve mission objectives and ensure task accomplishment. PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Work is generally sedentary although some rigorous physical activity is required during regular and recurring visits to installations, ships, aircraft, and field sites.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
The majority of the work is accomplished in an office setting; however, visits are required to installations, ships, and aircraft. Due to the size of the region and the scope of operations and the nature of the required duties, frequent travel (35%) will be required by various means which may include ships, boats, commercial and military aircraft, helicopters, and off road vehicles.
