This position is being recruited under 10 USC 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It has been identified as a position necessary to carry out and support the mission of the US Cyber Command.
It is in the Professional Work Category at the Developmental Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure. It is located in the J-3/5/7 OPERATIONS PLANNING AND EXERCISE DIRECTORATE.
Duties
As a participant in the Recent Graduates Program, you will receive both formal and on-the-job training to develop the required knowledge and skill to successfully perform the duties of the position.
Participates in or conducts studies/surveys, analyzing findings and making recommendations which support assigned mission.
Analyzes staffing data and prepares text in various formats.
Prepares and processes documents, including use of word processing systems, graphics, electronic mail, and desktop publishing.
Serves as an advisor to management on the effectiveness of assigned programs
Requirements
- Must be a U.S. Citizen.
- Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered or exempt from Selective Service.
- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.

In order to qualify for this position, you must meet the requirements described below.
Qualifying Experience:
GG-07
To qualify at the GG-07, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience analyzing administrative and/or technical programs, and preparing charts, graphs and other visual aids in support of program information.
GG-09
To qualify at the GG-09, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service. For this position, qualifying experience is defined as:
Experience with analyzing and evaluating programs, determining efficiency of programs, and analyzing findings, and making recommendations.

Education
GG-07 (2-grade interval) Substitution of Education for Experience: One full year of graduate level education or Superior Academic Achievement may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.

GG-9 Substitution of Education for Experience: Two full years of progressively higher level graduate education, Master's or equivalent graduate degree, may be substituted to meet the qualifying experience requirement.
