This position is in the Excepted Service and does NOT convey eligibility to be converted to the Competitive Service. It is being recruited under 10 U.S.C. 1599f into the Cyber Excepted Service (CES) personnel system. Positions in the Cyber Excepted Service are positions necessary to carry out and support the mission of the United States Cyber Command.
It is in the Supervision/Management Work Category at the Expert Work Level within the CES Occupational Structure located in the DISA - JFHQ.
Duties
Oversees all directorate activities to assure necessary integration, coordination, administration, and assessment for all training, exercise coordination and execution that supports Defensive Cyber Operation Internal Defensive Measures (DCO-IDM).
Coordinates and oversees the Command’s Readiness program.
Advises the Commander and staff of JFHQ-DODIN on the processes of the Joint Training System to develop command-wide joint training programs.
Provides management and oversight to train and assess command personnel - individually and collectively - to develop and sustain a capable and knowledgeable cyberspace operations workforce.
Evaluates programs and makes adjustments, as necessary, to accommodate change and new programs.
Analyzes, develops, recommends, or determines operating procedures, directives, policies, and implementing instructions.
Directs, coordinates, and oversees work through subordinate supervisors.

- This national security position, which may require access to classified information, requires a favorable suitability review and security clearance as a condition of employment. Failure to maintain security eligibility may result in termination.
- Top Secret/ SCI security clearance required.
- This is a Drug Testing designated position.
- This is a Mission Essential position.

Qualifying Experience:
To qualify at the GG-15, your resume must describe at least one year of experience that demonstrates the competencies necessary for immediate success in the position. Experience refers to any paid or unpaid experience, including volunteer work and Military service, that would be considered equivalent to work normally performed at the next lower grade level in the federal service.
For this position, qualifying experience is defined as: Experience in planning, managing, organizing, and directing an organization's training and exercise program.

Education
There is no substitution of education for specialized experience at the GG-15 grade level.
