This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Domestic Industrial Base (DIB) & Major Range and Test Facilities Base (MRTFB) in DoD to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service.
Duties
Assist the Maintenance shops in the fulfillment of the depot remanufacturing and repair mission.
Coordinate remanufacturing and overhaul efforts between Major Subordinate Commends (MSC), contractors and the depot, performing technical and logistical functions.
Review Technical Data Packages (TDP) for accuracy and feasibility for use as depot remanufacturing and overhaul documents, and repair standards.
Assist Lead Engineer with the transition to sustainment of new radio platforms.
Requirements
- Must obtain and maintain a Secret Security Clearance.
- Up to 50% Business Travel.
- May be subject to one-year probationary period.

GS-10 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Installing and/or repairing electronic systems; 2) Providing technical support to various electronic activities; AND 3) Assisting in the development of standard operating procedures for technical work on electronics and/or industrial systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-09).
GS-11 One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Preparing designs and recommending design changes to equipment or parts; 2) Utilizing computer software such as Logistic Modernization Project (LMP) to prepare documents and input data; AND 3) Developing standard operating procedures for technical work on electronics and/or industrial systems. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-10).
GS-10 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-09).
GS-11 Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-10).
