Duties

As a Policy Advisor, you will: -Provide advice and assistance to the Director and Senior Advisor on Gender-Based Violence on a variety of issues related to gender-based violence (GBV) and housing, including effective implementation of programs, policies, and procedures associated with addressing the safe housing and economic stability needs of survivors of GBV. -Represent the Director and Senior Advisor in meetings involving key operations, policy, implementation, and issues concerning GBV. -Analyze and interpret data from research and prepare reports containing research findings. Maintain data that will be provided for analysis, recommendations, projections, and evaluations to address matters involving GBV. -Be responsible for all functions related to monitoring, receiving, analyzing, assigning, logging, and responding to relevant departmental clearance items and ensuring that deadlines are met within the appropriate timeframes. -Manage, coordinate, and address incoming inquiries, communication, and general information from agencies, grantees, and other stakeholders concerning GBV, housing, and homelessness.

Qualifications

You must meet the following requirements within 30 days of the closing date of this announcement. Specialized Experience: For the GS-14 grade level, you must have one year (52 full weeks) of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-13 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized Experience for this position includes: - Overseeing successful accomplishment of gender-based violence strategic initiatives and policy and management priorities; AND - Developing, interpreting, or advising on policy matters impacting affordable housing programs; AND - Collecting, and interpreting data, preparing reports for further analysis, and making recommendations regarding housing and gender-based violence issues. Experience may have been gained in either the public, private sector or volunteer service. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. To ensure full credit for your work experience, please indicate dates of employment by month/day/year, and indicate number of hours worked per week on your resume. Time-in-Grade: In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks. Time After Competitive Appointment: Candidates who are current Federal employees serving on a non-temporary competitive appointment must have served at least three months in that appointment.
