You will serve as an INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY SPECIALIST (INFOSEC) in the INFORMATION SYSTEMS DIVISION, COMMAND OPERATIONS DEPARTMENT of FLTREADCEN SOUTHEAST.
Duties
You will serve as the Command Information System Security Manager (ISSM) advising for Information System Security Matters on behalf of the National Industrial Security Program Authorization Office (NAO).
You will fully interpret all applicable rules and regulations relating to Cyber Security (CS).
You will independently prepare, implement, and/or test the Activity Security Plan; Certification; Risk Assessments; Security Test and Evaluations; and Information Assurance Controls to include documented Controlled Access Level of Protection.
You will interface with all levels of management both within command and external to command on all Cyber Security (CS) requirements for systems, projects, (i.e. standalone, networked, and/or training devices).
You will identify significant actual and potential cybersecurity problems, trends, and weaknesses and recommend specific modifications and solutions to reduce information systems security risks.

- This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area 722 level Intermediate within 12 months of appointment.
Qualifications
Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Integrating security programs across multiple IT disciplines and their interrelationships; 2) Testing the effectiveness of new information security policies and measures to ensure awareness and compliance; 3) Anticipating, eliminating, and identifying system vulnerabilities with the use of intrusion detection programs; 4) Planning, directing, and managing the implementation of new information security programs and measures; and 5) Utilizing the Department of Defense Risk Management Framework (RMF) to develop, recommend, implement procedures, and provide advice and recommendations which will result in an effective and efficient command security program. Your experience must reflect skill in the following areas: attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem solving.
