Duties
The United States Space Force (USSF) Space Systems Command (SSC) at Peterson Space Force Base is searching for a Logistics Management Specialist (NH-0346-03, GS 12/13 Equivalent).
Description:

Space Domain Awareness is a condition critical for everything that the United States Space Force does in defending the nation. The Space Domain Awareness (SDA) Acquisition Delta is responsible for the acquisition, development, sustainment, and integration of SDA sensors, data, and knowledge into the sight picture for the United States Space Force. As a Logistics Management Specialist, you will utilize your logistics expertise to develop, implement, direct, and function as part of a logistics management operation for major complex systems that encompass new and emerging technologies.
The ideal guardian will have a background in ensuring timely execution of plans and integrate the 12 product support elements and related disciplines into USSF programs. Experience in working with integrated product teams to develop, approve and manage program documentation IAW AF/USSF acquisition guidance. Prioritize work to complete actions within the required timelines.
Key Skills and Abilities:
1. Knowledge of a principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan and execute a complex and difficult product support program; and to apply new developments to issues for which previous techniques are frequently inadequate.
2. Knowledge of the missions, roles, function, organizational structures, and operation of the Department of Defense, and other entities that govern, interface with, and/or influence the systems acquisition and sustainment process and integrated life cycle management.
3. Ability to plan, analyze, and coordinate a system or portion of a major system's acquisition and transfer into operational use, sustainment and disposal; to include the identification and correlation of specific requirements for money, manpower, material, facilities, and services needed to support the program; and to develop and analyze data to determine logistic objectives and goals, identify support requirements (including funding, contract development, and other technical support requirements), and establish relationships between the participants involved in deploying the plan.
4. Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, clearly, concisely, with technical accuracy and to use computers and a variety of software programs and databases. Gather and analyze a variety of program information, make sound judgments concerning program progress, and effectively communicate recommendations orally and in writing to higher organizational management and contractors.

- Employee must be able to obtain and maintain a Top-Secret.
- May be required to travel by military or commercial aircraft in the performance of TDY assignments.
- May be required to work overtime on an unscheduled or emergency basis.
- This position has been designated for drug testing. Incumbent is subject to random urinalysis testing as a condition of employment.
- Employee must within 30-days of assuming this position and by 31 October annually thereafter, file an OGE-450, “Confidential Financial Disclosure Report.” Employee is required to attend annual ethics and procurement integrity training.
- This position is part of the Acquisition Professional Development Program (APDP). The employee is expected to meet the functional area certification requirements within the timeframe range of 1 - 5 years from appointment date into the position.
