About the Position: This position is located at the U.S. Army Training and Doctrine Command, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7, U.S. Army Security Assistance Training Field Activity, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, VA is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
This is an obligated position.
Duties
Assist countries in defining the total training requirement to support a given equipment procurement and delivery schedule.
Plan programs and monitors training programs that support international students (military and civilians) under Foreign Military Sales (FMS), or other training furnished by other government agencies, such as NATO and Department of State.
Planning and scheduling, Security Assistance (SA) training programs for all foreign countries and international organizations.
Provide relevant data to assist in determining specific training solutions that satisfy country-determined training objectives
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- The position requires DoD SC Workforce (SCW) Certification. Must complete certification-related training requirements in the security cooperation area of concentration within the timeframe associated with the position.
- You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or remove.
- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25 % of the time.
- This is a TERM Position.
- Term employment is subject to a one -year trial period.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes work that involved: 1) Reviewing and implementing policies, training regulations, and procedures, related to military training; 2) Managing and coordinating unit-level (organizational) training programs; and 3) Participating in multi-discipline teams, (i.e. military, civilian and/or partner countries) in order to identify training priorities and develop near and long term training solutions that meet unit-level (organizational) training objectives. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-11).

Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
