About the Position: This is an Initial Entry Training Specialist position located at the Army Training Support Center, Fort Eustis, VA. Fort Eustis, VA is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Surrounding areas include Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. The Hampton Roads/Tidewater area has all the conveniences of a big city with charm of small town and rural areas.
Duties
Serves primary Initial Entry Training (IET) Strategy Analyst and subject matter expert (SME) on the IET program in the US Army Center for Initial Military Training (USACIMT).
Serves as the analyst, consultant and troubleshooter to all TRADOC Schools on the most difficult training management and developmental course design issues and primary team leader on special projects, and studies.
Serves as Subject-Matter-Expert/Senior Training Developer in the development and validation of course management documents, Programs of Instruction (POI), Course Administrative Data (CAD), Individual Training Plan (ITP), and training materials.

- This position has a Temporary Duty (TDY) or business travel requirement of up to 25% of the time.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Review training data in automated systems such as Training Requirement Analysis Systems (TRAS) and Army Training Requirements and Resources Systems (ATRRS); 2) Coordinate course development products for various training requirements;3) Develop working level reports, point papers, information papers and other correspondences; AND 4) Research comprehensive training situations and needs for a large organization. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
