About the Position: This position is located at the Security Assistance Training Field Activity (SATFA), Live Training Directorate, Joint Base Langley/ Eustis, VA. Joint Base Langley/Eustis, Virginia is located in Newport News, between historic Williamsburg and Virginia Beach. Local Transportation via the Hampton Roads Transit (HRT) bus service to the surrounding area which includes Hampton, Norfolk, Portsmouth, Chesapeake and Virginia Beach.
Duties
Quota management advisor, delegated authority as Security Assistance Training primary point of contact on consolidation of international training requirements and quota management process that impacts complex Security Assistance Training Programs.
Exercise the full range of personnel management responsibilities over non-supervisory positions engaged in executing highly technical training work associated with actions related to international student quota management.
Conduct continuous analysis and evaluation of student and training space totals by course, schools, fiscal year, and cost and prepares briefings.
Monitor, tracks, and manages the international student fills in Army institutional training with emphasis on constrained Army courses.
Participate in international training working groups and conferences inputting, projecting, and defending international training quotas requirements.
Requirements
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to complete the Supervisor Development course within the first year of appointment.
- Incumbent must complete certification-related training requirements in the SC Area of Concentration within the timeframe associated with the position's SCW certification level: SC Case Life Cycle Management (AOC) within 3 years.
- You may be expected to travel for this position up to 15% of the time.
- This position is supervisory as defined by the Office of Personnel Management's (OPM) General Schedule Supervisory Guide (GSSG). A one-year probation to assess your ability to perform supervisory duties is required unless previously completed.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes work such as: 1. Tracking student training quotas; 2. Conducting analytical studies related to the execution of training missions; and 3. Generating reports to validate international training. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-12).
