About the Position: This is a Senior Training Analyst position located within US Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 at Fort Eustis, Virginia. The Deputy Chief of Staff, G-3/5/7 develops, integrates, and manages training operations and requirements, concepts, policies, plans; and directs operations continuously across TRADOC in support of CG TRADOC.
Duties
Conduct preliminary strategic resource evaluations and analysis of projects, programs, and other initiatives critical to education and training from a perspective to achieve TRADOC mission and campaign plan objectives.
Provide technical advice and guidance to TRADOC leaders and staff on the development of mid-to long-range institutional, functional, or individual training requirements and methodology.
Perform research to ascertain information for use in developing and promulgating individual training tactics and techniques methodology.
Serve as a senior analyst on training and education requirements for institutional training.
Coordinate evolving policy requirements and guidance for training and education with HQDA, TRADOC, FORSCOM, Army Reserve and National Guard, major subordinate commands and proponents, other services, inter-agency, and multi-national services.
Represent the TRADOC G-3/5/7 at Army, DoD, industry, and educational institution conferences, in-process reviews, coordination meetings, and information briefings.
Draft responses for General Officer-level approval to external requests for information from Congress, DoD, HQDA, Army Guard, Army reserve, and other ACOMs.
Review drafts, develops, then develops and staffs TRADOC responses to regulations, supplements, pamphlets, and circulars or other amplifying documents pertaining to training and education.
Provide critical analytical support in the review of actions from the Army Staff, ACOMs, National Guard, Army reserve, ASCCs, Combined Arms center, TRADOC centers and schools, Army University, and other subordinate units.
Write comments, briefs supervisors, and recommends TRADOC position for General Officer approval.
Requirements
- TDY may be required up to 20% of the time for this position.
- Appointment may be subject to a suitability or fitness determination, as determined by a completed background investigation.
- This position requires the incumbent be able to obtain and maintain a determination of eligibility for a Secret security clearance or access for the duration of employment.

Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes 1) developing, analyzing, and implementing training program policies and procedures; 2) managing institutional training and education programs resources; AND 3) analyzing data compiled from evaluation assessments to improve a training program's operational functions. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13).
