This position is located in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), Office of Research and Registration (MC-R). You will serve as a Junior Administrative Officer supporting the Administrative Officer, and reporting to the Special Project Officer. You will also complete administrative functions and management support activities relative to the administration and operational requirements that are essential to the direction and operation MC-R.

Qualifications
To meet the minimum qualifications for this position, you must (1) meet the Education Requirement for the series, (2) provide a copy of transcripts for verification, AND (3) meet either the education or experience qualifications for the grade at which you are requesting consideration. To qualify for the GS-09 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-07 it must include:
Experience using software programs and databases to compile information used to prepare management reports.
Experience using processing software to create and maintain databases as needed for records management.
Experience providing guidance to managers and staff in one or more of the following areas: travel policy, procurement process, human resources management, records management, information technology or property management regulations
To qualify for the GS-09 on Education alone, you must have 2 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a master's degree or have been awarded a master's or equivalent graduate degree. You can also qualify based on a combination of graduate education and experience. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application.
To qualify for the GS-11 on Experience, you must have at least one year of experience equal or equivalent to the GS-09 it must include:
Experience using administrative concepts, principles, and practices and perform studies designed to evaluate procedures/processes.
Experience serving as the primary point of contact for select human resource actions within an organization, or as a backup action officer between a Program Office and the organizational Human Resources Office.
Experience performing budgetary functions and duties associated with phases of the budget implementation process, including monitoring use and rate of expenditure of budget items.
To qualify for the GS-11 on Education alone, you must have: 3 years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to a Ph.D. degree or Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree. You can also qualify based on a combination of higher level graduate education and experience. This must be fully supported by your resume and transcripts, provided with your application.
